Box Archtops
We designed and built three box-shaped archtops. The first was intended to turn a spare neck into a travel guitar. The second and third were intended to explore the use of a side port. Here we catalog some of our results.
Here we report on our efforts to
1) Quantify the role, if any, that the lowest-frequency body resonace has on the percieved musical quality of a guitar, and
2) Quantify the role, if any, that a side-port has on the player's experience, and if so why.
